I've been copying and pasting old space PvP event posting to .txt files in order to make the process of picking and posting up event details a bit easier. But really it doesn't do others much good on my hard drive so here's basically what I have. It's all been copied directly from the SOE forums and I have yet to go through them and make them all generic but this should still be helpful to event organizers.

Post  Ollorin Thu Aug 21, 2008 8:13 pm

IMPORTANT DETAILS:
Will need two flag volunteers. Post here or PM me if you'd like to volunteer. The flags will NOT be overt for the entire round and must be flying ships with a 1.0 speed modifier, a crafted engine with at least 119.x TS, and a mark V booster maxed for speed.

Admirals for the Event:

* Imperial: Jochiam
* Rebel: Treksin <-- Possibly Vroom

Briefing Begins at 6:15 PM, EST:

* Imperials: Narmle Hotel, Rori (the one directly outside the sp)
* Rebels: Nym's Cantina, Lok
* Details: When you report to the briefing station, be ready to do four things: (1) Join your respective side's chat channel (the Rebel channel is under the Rebel chat tab and is called Pilots - Pilots ... or Rebel.Pilots for short) (the Imperial channel is under the Imperial chat tab and is called Pilots - Pilots ... or Imperial.Pilots for short). (2) Check into the chat channel by providing your name and the ship you will be using so your Admiral can learn the strength of his/her force and can place you appropriately. (3) Be patient while the Admiral puts together a roster and selects tasks for the fleet. Sides should have their Check-Ins and Attack Plans finished by around 7:50pm, EST in order to give pilots enough time to launch, run OLs, and declare overt. (4) Join the Pilot's Vent.

Duration of the Event:

* Event Begins at 7:00 PM, EST
* Event Ends at 8:00 PM, EST
* Event Begin/End Announcements: Will be made in Pilotslounge chat channel (under the galaxy tab) by Treksin. All timing will be determined by time-stamps.

Location of the Event: Naboo Space

GAME RULES:

Objective: Capture the Opposing Team's Flag as many times as you can in 1 hour

Format:

* The Rebels will protect the Imperial flag that will sit in the inside of the Rori Space Station
* The Imperials will protect the Rebel flag that will sit in the inside of the Naboo Space Station
* You can split your team up between Capture and Defend as you wish
* A point will be earned when you successfully bring the opposing team's flag within 500m of your Faction's Station. (E.g., if you are capturing the Rori flag, you must have the Rori flag /follow you to within 500m of the Naboo Station)
* If at the end of the hour the Game is tied, the Game will continue in sudden death style. First to score wins!

Basics:

* This is a FREE RETURN Game. Once you die, you MAY reenter Naboo space.
* BOTH factions must redeclare outside of Naboo System!! <-- New rule addition
* ALL ships participating MUST be Overt. Only exception are the two flags.
* ALL ships are legal.
* Missiles ARE allowed. So, pack chaff!
* Component targeting is strongly discouraged. <-- From now on, we will be rotating events between component targetting and non-component targetting events. This event will have NO component targetting.

Capturing Rules:

* The Attackers/Capturers in this game must fly within 50m of the opposing team's flag and send the flag a tell saying "follow me flag."
* Once you send this tell, the flag will /follow the Tell-Sender. If /follow is interrupted, the Flag must immediately /follow again. As long as the Tell-Sender remains alive, it is the Flag's duty to stay attached to the Tell-Sender's wing until the Tell-Sender dies or they cross the 5000m threshold.
* In order to get 1 Point, the Tell-Sender must stay alive long enough to drag the flag to within 5000m of the opposing faction's station.
* The Flag cannot be passed. The original Tell-Sender is the one that must carry the flag across the 5000m threshold.
* If the Tell-Sender dies, the Flag must fly directly back to their home station without haste. The Flag cannot be picked back up again until it is back at its home station.
* Once the Flag is pulled within 5000m of the opposing faction's station, the flag will declare in the pilotslounge chat channel that a point has been scored and then fly back to its home station.
* The Attackers/Capturers MUST be Overt.
* Example: Treksin is the Rebel Flag. Eomoa is the Imperial Attacker/Capturer. Eomoa comes down to Rori Station and gets within 50m of Treksin (who is sitting in Rori Station's Docking Bay not moving) and sends a tell to Treksin saying "follow me flag." Treksin types /follow Eomoa. Eomoa then proceeds to fly back to Naboo Station. Eomoa only scores a point if he can survive long enough to pull Treksin within 5000m of Naboo Station. If Eomoa dies before that marker line, Treksin flies back to Rori Space Station and Eomoa fails to score a point. If Eomoa pulls Treksin within 5000m of the Naboo Station, Treksin announces in the pilotslounge chat channel that the Imperials have scored a point and then Treksin flies back to Rori Space Station as quickly as possible.

Guarding the Flag Rules:

* Defenders of the Flag, i.e., the ships stationed at either station, must position themselves 500m away from the station at all times unless engaging an enemy Attacker/Capturer.

Ingame emails to be sent by someone else during the week!! Until then, happy flying!

Deep Space Stations Event.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

Space Admirals for the Entire Event:

* Imperial: Jochiam
* Rebel: Ollorin

Round Begin/End Announcements: Will be made in Pilotslounge chat channel (under the galaxy tab) by Ollorin or Jochiam. All timing will be determined by time-stamps.

* Briefing Begins at 7:30PM, EST
* Event Begins at 8:00PM, EST
* Event Ends at 9:00PM, EST

Briefing Locations:

* Imperials - Narmle Hotel, Rori
* Rebels - Nym's Cantina, Lok
* Details: When you report to the briefing station, be ready to do three things: (1) Join your respective side's chat channel (the Rebel channel is under the Rebel chat tab and is called Pilots - Pilots ... or Rebel.Pilots for short) (the Imperial channel is under the Imperial chat tab and is called Pilots - Pilots ... or Imperial.Pilots for short). (2) Check into the chat channel by providing your name and the ship you will be using so your Admiral can learn the strength of his/her force and can place you appropriately. (3) Be patient while the Admiral puts together a roster and selects tasks for the fleet. Sides should have their Check-Ins and Attack Plans finished 7:50pm, EST in order to give pilots enough time to launch, run OLs, and declare overt.

THE EVENT:

Objectives:

* Rebels: Must Destroy the Imperial Star Destroyer and Defend Freedom Station as many times as you can in one hour.
* Imperials: Must Destroy Freedom Station and Defend the Imperial Star Destroyer as many times as you can in one hour.
* One point will be awarded each time the opposing factions station is destroyed.
* It is up to your faction's squadron how you split your force between Attack and Defend.

Rules:

* This is a FREE RETURN event. If you die, you can come back - for the entire hour.
* NO chassis restrictions
* Component targetting is allowed this week. While CT is traditionally discouraged at Bloofin events, it is allowed this week.
* Missiles are allowed. So pack chaff!
* This event will begin at 8PM, EST. The start of the event will be announced in the pilotslounge chat channel. Your force must wait by the Deep Space Stations (Imperials in Endor, Rebels in Dantooine, and Freelance in Dathomir) and may only enter after the "EVENT LIVE" announcement. Deepspace will be cleared prior to the event and the Station and ISD will be reset. Every attempt will me made to start on time. We simply need to make sure that both factions are ready so neither has an unfair advantage. It is our goal to keep any delays to a minimum (factional admirals don't like waiting around either). Participant co-operation and attendance at the briefings go long way to help us prevent delays.
* The event will end after 1 hour. Every attempt will be made to start on time so that should be 9pm EST +/- 5 minutes
* Load Camping - Special Note: Although it's highly discouraged accidental load camping is a possibility due to the proximity of the load-in points to the stations. However, since there is a small grace period where you are not attackable, you should be able to prevent people form sitting and blasting people loading in. Please do not complain if you happen to be load-killed. As soon as you load in be ready to go.
* No Bomberstrike may be called by the Imperials. No Pirate Trap may be called by the Freelancers. This is to keep the number of NPC's to a minimum to help keep lag down.
* Each time on side kills a station, someone must post in the Pilotslounge Chat Channel so we can keep a tally to determine which side won at the end of the hour.

Find and Defend the POB!

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

Space Admirals for the Entire Event:

* Imperial: Jochiam
* Rebel: Looking for a volunteer since I will be flying the POB.

Round Begin/End Announcements: Will be made in Pilotslounge chat channel (under the galaxy tab) by Ollorin or Jochiam. All timing will be determined by time-stamps.

* Briefing Begins at 7:30PM, EST (Briefing attendance is mandatory for this event in order to put together the necessary duel macros)
* Event Begins at 8:00PM, EST
* Event Ends at 9:00PM, EST

Briefing Locations:

* Imperials - Ord Mantel Cantina
* Rebels - Ord Mantel Cantina
* Details: When you report to the briefing station, be ready to do three things: (1) Join your respective side's chat channel (the Rebel channel is under the Rebel chat tab and is called Pilots - Pilots ... or Rebel.Pilots for short) (the Imperial channel is under the Imperial chat tab and is called Pilots - Pilots ... or Imperial.Pilots for short). (2) Check into the chat channel by providing your name and the ship you will be using so your Admiral can learn the strength of his/her force and can place you appropriately. (3) Be patient while the Admiral puts together a roster for the duel macro's and selects tasks for the fleet. Sides should have their Check-Ins and Attack Plans finished 7:50pm, EST in order to give pilots enough time to launch, run OLs, and finish the final prep for the start of the first round.

THE EVENT:

Summary:

It has been discovered that freelance pilot Ollorin Stormcrow has worked as a hired gun for both the Imperial Navy and Rebel Fleet. It is possible that he may have information on both Imperial and Rebel Fleet activities. Both the Imperial Navy and the Rebel Fleet have issued orders to find him and safely escort him back for questioning.

Objectives:

* Find and escort the POB. The POB will be outfitted with a Mark III engine and either RE'd 5 guns or Mark III blasters.
* The first faction to find the POB gets 1 point and control of the POB. This is the POB pilots call. If both factions arrive simultaneously the POB pilot will remain neutral and allow the 2 factions to fight for control.
* One point will be awarded to the controlling faction when/if they successfully escort the POB to the designated safe point each round.
* One point will be awarded to the faction that fails to gain control of the POB if they can destroy it before it reaches the designated safe point.
* It is up to each faction how they utilize their pilots.
* Each round will be in a different system. The systems, hyper points, and safe points have yet to be determined and I'm open for suggestions.

Rules:

* This is a NO RETURN event. If you die, you can't come back until the next round.
* NO POBs or Gunships.
* Component targetting is not allowed this week.
* Missiles are allowed. So pack chaff!
* Every attempt will be made to start the event sharply at 8PM, EST. The start of the event will be announced in the pilotslounge chat channel. Your force must wait until the start of the event is announced. Any and all possible delays will be discussed between the factional admirals. This is to allow for any last minute problems that need to be resolved before the start of the event.
* The event will end 1 hour after the start event.
* No Bomberstrike may be called by the Imperials. No Pirate Trap may be called by the Freelancers. This is to keep the number of NPC's to a minimum to help keep lag down.
* The POB pilot has the final call as to which faction controls the POB and will announce the controlling faction in pilots lounge. The POB pilot will also announce when he has either successfully arrived at the designated safe point or when he is killed inPilotslounge Chat Channel so we can keep a tally to determine which side won at the end of the hour.

NOTES:

I'm open for any suggested changes to this event. Any changes will be announce in this thread no later than noon EST on Saturday.
We will also need 2 gunners for the POB. I'm sure collectively we can work out some form of "thank you" for anyone that wants to gun.

Galactic Hide and Seek!

Admirals for the Event:

* Main Admiral: Ollorin
* Alternate Admiral(s): Jochiam

Briefing Begins at 6:15 PM, EST:

* Briefing Location: Ord Mantell Cantina
* Details: When you report to the briefing station, join the galaxy.pilotslounge chat channel and the pilot's vent. Send a tell to the Admiral of the evening that you'll be joining the fun!
* If the Main Admiral and Alternate Admiral are not in the cantina by 6:30 PM, EST, select a new Admiral!

Duration of the Event:

* Event Begins at 7:00 PM, EST
* Event Ends at 8:00 PM, EST
* Event Begin/End Announcements: Will be made in Pilotslounge chat channel (under the galaxy tab). All timing will be determined by time-stamps.

Location of the Event: "Hiders" determine the space zone they'll be hiding in!

GAME RULES:

Objective: Earn the most points in one hour! (First, Second, and Third place pilots will be recognized! First place winner will walk away with some sort of "trophy".)

Format:

* Everyone launches at Ord Mantell, runs progs, and hangs out by the station.
* The first two "Hiders" will be determined prior to launch.
* Once all programs are launched, the "Hiders" will duel everyone in attendance except the other "Hider" (this is why you must be in pilotslounge and must be at the briefing so we don't leave anyone out!).
* Everyone else will duel only the two "Hiders" and no one else.
* The "Hiders" will then declare what system they are jumping into and jump.
* Once the "Hiders": are in the chosen system and situated they will announce the start of the round in Pilotslounge and everyone can begin the jump into the chosen system, wherever they want.
* The "Seekers" can act together or individually.
* No In-System hyperspace jumps are allowed.
* No "/findfriend" commands allowed.
* The Slayers of the two "Hiders" will be the two "Hiders" for the next round (and get points!).
* Once both "Hiders" are down, everyone will regroup at the systems station, and repeat the above procedure with the new "Hiders."
* The Event ends after one hours has passed. An on-going round will be allowed to finish.
* If we have a tie score for first place at the end of the event the two players will /duel each other for a tie breaking point.
* We can run extra rounds past 8pm if everyone agrees. Otherwise winners will be declared and anyone wishing to do so can play extra rounds at their own discretion.

Basics:

* These are NO RETURN rounds. If a "Hider" takes you out, you will need to wait until the next round. No re-dueling during rounds.
* ALL ships are legal.
* Missiles ARE allowed. So, pack chaff!
* Component targeting is NOT allowed this week!
* </escapepod yes> is NOT allowed! Why? Because in order to get the kill points (below), you must be the shot that kills, NOT the shot that disables, and escapepodding would confuse the issue.

"Seeker" Points:

* 10 points: For killing the "Hider" in the first 5 minutes of a round.
* 5 points: For killing the "Hider" in the first 10 minutes of a round.
* 2 points: For killing the "Hider" after 10 minutes have passed.
* 1 point: If you found the "Hider" but were shot down in the process (<-- Point Award for the Courageous and the fact that you'll have to sit out the remainder of the round.)

"Hider" Points:

* 1 point: For every killed "Seeker." These kill points are awarded to the killer, not both "Hiders," collectively. (<-- Incentive for the "Hiders" to be a little more active)
* 5 point bonus: For killing ALL the "Seekers" in a round. These bonus point ARE awarded to the "Hiders," collectively. Each would get 5 pts. added to their individual point totals, even if only one "Hider" is still standing when the last "Seeker" dies. (<-- incentive for "Hiders" to maybe work together?)*

* I doubt all the "Seekers" will be wiped out by the two "Hiders," but if it does, the "Hider(s)" left standing are "Hider(s)" again for the next round. However, if one of the "Hiders" died, then the "Seeker" killer will replace that "Hider" in the next round.

***Time for a brand new event!! Thanks to Radiant, generally, and GenieWH, specifically, for the idea!***

*If you have questions/comments/concerns, let's iron these out by Tuesday!! I will send out ingame emails then!!*

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

Space Admirals for the Entire Event:

* Imperial: Eomoa
* Rebel: Treksin

Round Begin/End Announcements: Will be made in Pilotslounge chat channel (under the galaxy tab) by Treksin. All timing will be determined by time-stamps.

* Briefing Begins at 7:30PM, EST
* Event Begins at 8:00PM, EST
* Event Ends at 9:00PM, EST

Briefing Locations:

* Imperials - Narmle Hotel, Rori
* Rebels - Coronet Cantina, Corellia
Sides should have their Check-Ins and Attack Plans finished by around 7:50pm, EST in order to give pilots enough time to launch, run OLs, and declare overt.

Chassis Restrictions: None.

THE EVENT:

Objective: The point of the event is to win sorties by defeating ALL enemy players from the engagement zone. Every sortie win grants the winning side ONE point. The most points at the end of the hour determines the event winner. If there's a tie at the end of the hour, we have one last sudden death sortie to break the tie!

Zones:

Yavin IV System
* Engagement Zone: Manufacturing Asteroid (/waypoint 7000, -2500, -3500) - closest Hyperspace Location is Ferrous Aurora.*
* Imperial Safe Zone**: Imperial Space Station (/waypoint -500, -5400, -6700) - closest Hyperspace Location is the Crimson Hyperpoint.
* Rebel Safe Zone**: Smuggler's Run Hyperspace Location: (/waypoint -962, 4805, 6923)

* The Ferrous Aurora Hyperspace Location is in the HOT ZONE. If you Hyper in at this location overt, you are allowing yourself to become a target, regardless of load ganking. Load Ganking is frowned upon of course, but this IS a HOT ZONE, so be ready to rumble!

** While in the safe zones, overt players are considered OFF LIMITS.

Rules:

* Component targetting is strongly discouraged.
* Missiles are allowed. So pack chaff!
* The first sortie will begin at 8PM, EST.
* Each sortie is NO RETURN FOR EVERYONE!! If you die, redeclare, reset your overloads, and regroup at your faction's safe zone!!
* After a sortie is won, both sides will have 5 minutes in their safe zone to regroup before the next sortie point possibility begins. The side that won the previous sortie point starts in the hotzone, while the other side may not enter until 5 minutes is up and the "SORTIE BEGIN" announcement is made in the pilotslounge chat channel.
* Sortie points will be announced in the pilotslounge chat channel.

Declaring Overt: In order to fight in space outside of Deep Space, you must /comm a factional space station and declare overt status (takes 30 seconds). Imperials can declare in system, however Rebels must declare someplace else. I recommend hypering to Corellia (Corsec Wing hyperspace) as there is a space station only a few clicks off the entry point. Then hyper back to the Rebel rally point (Smuggler's run) to fight in the event.
